Question for beat makers: Let’s say DistroKid built a site where you can upload beats and then receive 50% of royalties from any track that uses it. Would you also want an up-front fee from anyone who downloads your beat, to weed out people who aren’t serious? How much? Thoughts?

I’m cool with any sort of idea that makes it easy to put music up for licensing.

Don’t know that I’d want to charge an upfront fee per se; maybe an advance? Credited against future royalties?

What do you think will happen first? @PlayStation Vue gets locals in my area, @Philo and/or @YouTubeTV gets Turner channels, or @GetSpectrum stops charging unadvertised fees?
